i'm not sure I would recommend the food and sometimes the waiters can be a little rude, but this place gets busy. and it's great for drinks.

on the utrechtsestraat close to marqt is brug 34. a simple place for a small bite or a drink. with helpful staff and a great view, there is no reason not to stop in here after some shopping or with some girlfriends for happy hour.

there is always a reason for bubbles and not too far from bar italia so you can stumble there for a little rowdiness once all the corks have been popped. they have a food menu, but it's a little posh- as in- no bitterballen or kastengels.

this is a local place, with multiple locations in amsterdam, enschede, and hoorn. they have a lot of beers on tap and pub food.

they have and extremely large selection of belgium beer. there are 3 locations in the city (west, pijp, center), but the pijp and center location have been closed for some time. check before you try to visit any location other than the overtoom (west).

great cocktail bar with amazing service. tucked away in the north/center of Amsterdam it's worth every pedal on your fiets and the bike home helps the hangover in the morning.

this bar has no name, but they serve cocktails and are in a central location. very hip and local.
stock amsterdam
mainly a coffee bar, but with some small food items, attached to a hotel and store. the coffee wasn't the best and it feels like it caters more towards tourists.

great little bar in the center tucked away on a small street. the staff was amazingly nice and they serve small bites, which keeps you ordering more rounds.
