 welcome thuis

add it to the list, it's on mine.

bar franklin
any place that has a 3 course menu with cocktails is on my list. looks good!

cafe zurich (oud west)
in the west, but looks good!

chocolatl (center)
i've heard they have really amazing hot chocolate.

da Vino (jordaan)
after reading a review on eat amsterdam, i had to add this to my list!

de compagnon (center)
a foodie friend went here for her birthday and loved it.  it sounds wonderful and is french.

fraiche
the menu speaks my language. brunch. wings. and an amazing looking dinner menu.

french cafe (pijp)
looking for decent priced french food? their menu is tempting, especially with mussels and french fries.

fuoco vivo (oud west)
i've seen some great reviews about this place!

hap-hmm (de pijp)
i write about this restaurant with some trepidation.  a friend went there and was not impressed- however it seems to get great reviews, is an authentic dutchn kitchen and cheap, so i'm thinking i might try it out (they have weird hours, so check before you go).

il mattarello
i was told about this place from a good source- the owner of a well known amsterdam restaurant. it is take away ravioli, but you can also sit and eat.  they offer a mixed starter (10.50 pp) and ravioli (12.500 pp) and i read they have an amazing selection of wines.

lemar (oud west)
an afghan restaurant in de baarsjes.

kate's slow jam
it's not a restaurant, but it's homemade slow jam. i want some!

kerkstraat 59 (center)
coffee, lunch, and huevos rancheros.

proef amsterdam (spaarndammerbuurt)
they only have set menu's, but it does look really nice (check site to see if they are open)

proud otter (pijp)
cafe meets store- in the pijp (anybody know what used to be in the proud otter spot? a free cup of coffee if you guess correctly).

rem eiland (near spaarndammerburrt)
texas meets amsterdam.  who wouldn't want to eat on an old oil rig?

restaurant zus & zus (oud zuidish)
my previous co-worker got around...and she recommended this place.  normal cafe food for reasonable prices.

sotto pizza (oud zuid)
i've heard nice things about this semi-new pizza place on the amstelveenseweg

uliveto (centerish)
italian deli and take away? why not give it a go.

volt (de pijp)
the menu looks good and i have seen good reviews, so it's on my list.

zen japans delicatessenhuis (de pijp)
this was a tip from cake loves coffee and since her cakes are so amazing, i am going to trust her opinion on food.
